R Rich E. Rich first winner for One Nice Cat
R Rich E. Rich led at every point of call under E. T. Baird and captured the first race at Arlington Park on Sunday to become the first career winner for New York-based freshman sire One Nice Cat.

Trained by Larry Rivelli for owner Richard Ravin, R Rich E. Rich scored by one-length and completed the 4½-furlong maiden special weight race in :53.86 in his second career start. The gray or roan Illinois-bred gelding is out of the winning Robyn Dancer mare Smiling Mindy and is a half brother to multiple stakes winner My Dominick James, by Dance Master.

A nine-year-old by Storm Cat out of 1996 champion older female Jewel Princess, by Key to the Mint, One Nice Cat stood in 2009 for $3,500 at Sugar Maple Farm in Poughquag, New York. He has 41
two-year-olds in his first crop.

One Nice Cat posted four wins, two seconds, and six thirds in 28 career starts, including a victory in the 2005 Polynesian Stakes at
Colonial Downs. He finished second or third in three other stakes and bankrolled lifetime earnings of $163,089
